- Minimum 6 to 7 years Signalling Design experience
- An up to date signed off Design Log book
- Experience using Micro-Station
- Experience on Network Rail and LU projects
- IRSE licence Signalling Principles Designer category 1.1.550
- Level Crossing design experience with a portfolio of previous projects worked on (to demonstrate)
- Appropriate HND or Higher qualification
- An associate member of the IRSE and an Incorporated Engineer
- Undertake the day to day responsibilities of a Signalling Designer including the use of Microstation software for production of design drawings and assisting the Design Manager
- Produces and reviews signalling design in accordance with company and international standards
- Deal with internal and client technical queries and requests
- Mentoring, support, guidance and development of all staff
- Support management with tenders as required
The post holder should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the spoken and written word. A good outward appearance, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure are vital.
